After 60-year-old Brian Principe was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer with spread to his liver, he became the first patient to receive Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) therapy at the Mayo Clinic in Florida. This treatment has helped to shrink the tumors on in Brian’s liver, and doctors believe he could be a candidate for surgery or liver transplant down the road. Grady Hebert’s liver cancer left him little hope for the future - and then he received a chemotherapy pump
When Grady Hebert’s colorectal cancer spread to his liver, he was told it was inoperable and that he’d need chemotherapy for the rest of his life. Doug Scanlon: A Story of Hope
Husband and father Doug Scanlon was just 48 years old when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer that had spread to his liver. He wanted to avoid being only in “maintenance mode” and began looking for treatment options beyond the standard regimen. He sought a second opinion at the University of Colorado Cancer Center, where doctors recommended Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) therapy. He received an HAI pump, and about one year later, all of the tumors in his liver were removed.
